All MANE instructors are PATH Intl. certified and have been trained to work with a variety of disabilities. Each staff member’s background is different, bringing in unique class techniques. Read below to find out more about each staff member.

 Tiffany Atkinson- Program Director


FullSizeRender (4)Tiffany Atkinson is a life-long equine enthusiast with over 15 years of Marketing and Management experience and a resident of Central Alabama.  She graduated from Alabama Christian Academy (1996) and obtained her Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Auburn University of Montgomery (2001), while helping to manage a premier Quarter Horse show barn and breeding facility.  After graduation, Tiffany served as the Marketing Coordinator for Knology, creating local marketing and public relation campaigns that helped to grow and strengthen Knology’s community relations as well as their phone, cable and internet sales in  both the Montgomery and Prattville areas.   After 3 years with Knology, Tiffany founded AA Advertising, where she purchased and created advertising campaigns for Ben Atkinson Motors a Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep dealership located in Tallassee Alabama.

Although Atkinson has lived her entire life within a twenty mile radius of Pike Road, she has traveled all over the USA showing and competing in equestrian events. She has enjoyed a successful show career with many Regional and World titles through the Arabian Horse Association, the Palomino Horse Breeders Association, and the American Quarter Horse Association.  In 2005, she began competing  in United States Team Roping Association events all over the Southeast and Texas. Tiffany and her husband own and operate Cedar Ridge Farms, which specializes in quality Rope and Ranch bred horses and provides riding and roping lessons to both children and adults.

 Chandalyn Chrzanowski – Equine Director/Instructor

424877_10150660892938669_1844213199_nChandalyn Chrzanowski has grown up with horses interacting with them at her mother’s barn.  She began riding hunter seat and developed equine skills from not only her mom, but also from various trainers and instructors. She has worked and volunteered at many riding programs, both therapeutic riding and show barns. Chandalyn competed on the IHSA team at both Wesleyan College and St. Andrews University, where she graduated with BA degree in Therapeutic Horsemanship and obtained Registered PATH instructor certification. While at St. Andrews, she spent her time riding on the equestrian team and working with the therapeutic program there. After graduating, she went to work at a show barn with noted equine trainer Shep Welles and assisted in managing the barn. This allowed Chandalyn to work with many different kinds of horses, taking a variety of lessons, as well as showing and teaching lessons. She joined MANE in April of 2014 instantly becoming part of the MANE team by charming staff, riders, and the Board with her personality and passion. Since working at MANE, Chandalyn’s passion for the industry has driven her to acquire her Advance Instructor Certification.

Abby Houchin – Volunteer Coordinator/Instructor

Abby Houchin graduated from Virginia Tech in May of 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and a minor in Equine Science. To supplement her education, Abby interned at a large therapeutic riding program, Healing Strides of Virginia, under the guidance of Carol Young. Abby then obtained her PATH Intl. instructor certification after graduation. She rode for Virginia Tech’s IHSA Hunt Seat team as well as being a collegiate swimmer. In 2014, Abby was crowned the Virginia Quarter Horse Congress Queen, and went to Congress to compete against young ladies from other state associations for the All-American Quarter Horse Congress Queen title in October of 2014, placing in the Top Ten. Her platform in this endeavor has allowed her to share her passion for working with people and horses with her community as well as to increase awareness of the benefits of therapeutic riding.

Abby joined MANE’s team in February of 2015, bringing this passion with her. As MANE’s Volunteer Coordinator, she is in the perfect place to continue her love of working with people and horses. Abby currently competes with her Quarter Horse mare in three-day eventing.

Kim Alford -Contract Staff Instructor

Kim Alford has grown up in and around the horse industry. Her mother Toni Flowers was a professional riding instructor who held a PATH Intl. certification and helped found MANE in 1994. Kim participated in the United States Pony Club, graduating at the B level, and competed nationally in eventing and show jumping. After graduating high school, Kim worked and competed for a professional show jumper in Florida. She returned home 14 years ago to start her own business as a riding instructor.  Kim also has been the South region show jumping coach for pony club nationals for nine years. Kim specializes in dressage, eventing and show jumping.  Kim received her certification for PATH Intl. in 2010.
